4. Your Content
You keep ownership of your writing and uploads. You confirm you have the rights needed to submit content. For content you share publicly or anonymously, you grant Unsently a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, format, display, and distribute it within the platform and as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the service. Private content is not used in public marketing or displayed to other members unless you choose to share it or separately give permission.
5. Anonymous Posting
Anonymous posting hides your identity from other members. It does not permit abuse and does not necessarily hide your identity from Unsently. We may retain internal records needed for moderation, reports, security, and legal compliance.
6. Conduct and Moderation
You must follow our Community Guidelines. We may investigate reports, remove or restrict content, limit features, preserve evidence, suspend or terminate accounts, and contact authorities when reasonably appropriate. We are not obligated to monitor every submission or prevent every harmful interaction.
7. Not Therapy or an Emergency Service
Unsently is a writing and community platform, not therapy, counseling, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or a crisis service. We do not promise healing, closure, or any particular result. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If someone is in immediate physical danger, call 911.
8. Intellectual Property and Third Parties
The Unsently name, design, site content, and software belong to Unsently or its licensors. Do not scrape, reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the platform except as allowed by law. Third-party checkout and other services have their own terms and privacy practices.
9. Availability and Termination
We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or permanent availability. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, risk, nonpayment, or unlawful use.
10. Warranty Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unsently is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unsently and its owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, emotional distress, member content, third-party conduct, or inability to use the platform. Some limits may not apply where prohibited by law.
12. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Unsently and its owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your content, conduct, misuse of the platform, or violation of these Terms or another person's rights.
13. Texas Law and Changes
These Terms are governed by Texas law, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, email contact@unsently.com so we can try to resolve it informally. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Texas unless law requires a different location. We may update these Terms and will post the updated date.
